Burley Obstacle!
The seven members of the fast group plus one guest arrived early at Michel's Farm ready for a 9:30 departure. The slow group arrived by car just in time for the 9:30 starting gun. The goal was coffee at Melinda's. After struggling with his gear shift and stopping to take a photo of the rather large hazard just south of MacDonald's, the slow rider lost sight of the faster group. Fortunately, the faster group left a tell-tale line of bike tracks through various puddles along the south side of the airport. Like the tortoise and the hare, James caught the faster riders when they stopped to admire the view across the airport atop Hospital Hill.
A rapid descent took us to Melissa's where we found wet tables, but glorious sunshine! See photo. Both groups returned to Michel's Farm together. Other than the massive hazard south of MacDonald's there were no other safety issues.
